1981 Kawasaki KZ440

Here is your chance to get a really nice, custom KZ440 Cafe racer.
I picked it up from a friend a few years back bone stock with just under 12500 miles and I decided to build the bike into a café racer. I don’t even know where to begin because I have countless hours into this bike, parts, and money. I shaved the frame, shaved the front forks, I chopped the rear section and hand built the tail. The shocks were also relocated a few degrees forward for a more progressive Feel. I built an electronics tray located just underneath the seat pan which I also handmade and had the seat upholstered to match the grips. This bike is extremely minimalistic as there are no gauges, no mirrors, no signals, no instruments whatsoever. This is a bare-bones bike built to become one with the road. The factory wheels were painted and new old school looking tires were installed. The tank is clean inside, wet sanded and buffed the outside. The two carburetors are tuned for pod filters and free flowing exhaust. With the Dime city clip ons this bike is a blast to ride, it stops on a dime and it is a real ripper, it definitely turns heads! The engine for the most part is untouched! It is a little bit sweaty but that’s the way I like it and it gets ridden. I hate to part with the bike but I am absolutely in no rush to sell and my hours are definitely not reflected in the asking price of only $3695 it’s in excellent shape, it runs and rides great!
